Fr.Turner
The French theologian, Fr. François Turner, was a favorite of Pope Benedict XVI for the great work of theological study that he performed on the Apparitions of Garabandal.
After submitting the Apparitions of Garabandal to a rigorous theological proof of 24 criteria to one of the negative parts, these gave a favorable result. He concluded, together with Professor Jacques Serre, a professor at the University of Sorbonne in Paris, that Garabandal is a portentous work of God, an undeniable manifestation of his Omnipotence.
Father Turner was born in Paris to American parents living in France. He was baptized and raised in the Episcopal Church. At the age of fourteen he lost his faith and so it was four years before a Catholic friend and his family invited Robert's family to a sermon where a Catholic Priest explained the foundations of Catholic doctrine in all its length. A meaningful sermon that led Robert Turner to say:
- If there is a true Religion, this is the Catholic religion.
All his false impressions and doubts he had had regarding the Catholic Church vanished from that moment on.
