Church without tabernacles, is it possible?
As a sensible Mother, Our Lady in Garabandal led us gradually and very gently, to the fullness of her message. She started by feeding us only "milk", and then later she fed us "food" which was more difficult to digest. His first message from 1961 was so simple that people were greatly disappointed. On the other hand, his 1965 message shocked them all to such an extent that they had difficulty accepting it.
We find this contrast between the two Eucharistic messages from Garabandal. In 1961, Our Lady simply spoke about the need to visit the Blessed Sacrament. So far nothing complicated. But when She said in 1965 about the existence of bad Cardinals, Bishops and Priests, who were ministers of the Eucharist, and about the announcement that "less importance is given to the Eucharist", it has already become a more serious and delicate issue .
What did She mean by this statement? One of the things that she really wanted to allude to us was about the new theological teachings in relation to the Eucharist, teachings that started to appear in magazines, books, in the mid 60's and that bothered the Pope so much that he published a encyclical on the Eucharist with the name "Mysterium Fidei". In that document he reaffirmed our faith and the traditional teachings associated with this important Dogma. This displeased some theologians who criticized this Pope's encyclical, thereby weakening his authority as head of the Church.
One of the modern theories about the Eucharist, makes us believe that Jesus is not present in consecrated bread after the moment of consecration. If Jesus is not there, then why do we leave the bread in the tabernacle? And why do we have tabernacles in our churches anyway? This new and unorthodox teaching affected and disturbed many priests, more than what Christians realized in reality. Is it completely unrealistic to say that one day it may well happen that some priests will no longer keep the Blessed Sacrament in the Tabernacle of their Church or even remove it permanently? Who would dare to foresee that the day would happen when a priest tore a rosary in the pulpit?
And it has already happened.
Pray and offer sacrifices for priests who are currently being tortured with doubts about the Eucharist, because of these new teachings. Pray a lot and offer sacrifices so that the time will never come when the tabernacles will be empty or the churches will be permanently without tabernacles.
